We seek a detail-oriented Administrative Officer to manage front-office operations, coordinate activities, and support the cultural mission of Alliance Française de la Jamaïque. This role combines administrative expertise with cultural engagement, requiring strong organizational and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage front-office operations, including customer service, registrations, and payment processing
2. Handle administrative and financial tasks, including daily accounting and record-keeping
3. Coordinate cultural events and translation services
4. Oversee library operations and membership management
5. Create and manage multilingual communications across digital platforms
6. Support cultural events through logistics coordination and participant engagement
Required Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Administration, Management, or related field
2. Proven administrative experience, preferably in cultural/educational settings
3. Fluent English required; French language skills highly valued
4. Advanced proficiency in MS Office, Canva, and social media platforms
5. Strong financial and administrative management capabilities
6. Outstanding interpersonal skills with multicultural sensitivity
7. Knowledge of Jamaican cultural context
Working Environment:
Location: Kingston, Jamaica
Schedule: Monday-Friday with occasional weekend events
