General Accountant
Location: 30 minutes from Montego Bay, Jamaica

Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced General Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial activities of the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local financial regulations. This role involves preparing financial reports, managing accounting operations, and supporting the company’s financial goals.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Thorough knowledge of Jamaican tax laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Fluent in both Spanish and English (written and spoken).
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Oversee the preparation of balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial documents.
• Ensure accurate and timely tax filings in compliance with Jamaican financial regulations.
• Coordinate internal and external audits.
• Perform cash flow management and forecasting.
• Reconcile bank statements and monitor company accounts.
• Assist in budget preparation and financial planning processes.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for decision-making.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records.
