The incumbent coordinates HIV treatment audits, ensures reporting compliance, analyzes surveillance data, monitors treatment sites, and supports the implementation of HIV and PrEP programs.

 

JOB PURPOSE

Reporting to the Director Treatment Care & Support, the Programme Development Officer will provide technical support to the Treatment, Care & Support Component of the Programme in ensuring the effective implementation of the programme activities and contribute to the achievement of the programmes goals and objectives.

                                                                                   

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

Management / Administrative /Technical Responsibilities

  • Coordinate annual Treatment Care and Support audits to assess service delivery and quality of care
  • Assist in ensuring that the reporting mechanisms requirements relevant to HIV and PrEP are met.
  • Ensure that HIV surveillance data submitted to the unit is collated and analyzed in keeping with reporting requirements.
  • Timely reporting through the summarization and collation of information required for stipulated reports. 
  • Monitoring treatment sites for HIV, with regular visits and audits; and analysis of Assist in the development and implementation of all HIV Treatment, Care and Support activities.
  • HIV testing services plans are implemented in accordance with programme guidelines
  • Strengthen programming for HIV and PrEP reports to facilitate programme implementation at the site level.    

 

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Medical Degree from an accredited Medical School;
  • Master’s in Public Health;
  • A minimum of five (5) years relevant experience or any equivalent combination education, training and experience in the health sector with exposure to sexual and reproductive health; 
  • Plus Peer Approval duly signed by relevant personnel;
  • Local experience in public health/primary health care
