The incumbent has the responsibility for managing the General Ledger and reconciliation processes, fixed asset accounting and project accounting, as well as verifying journal vouchers, supervise audit activities and reviewing schedules.
Specific Knowledge, Qualification and Experience
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Management or equivalent
- Well-developed analytical, supervisory and human relations skills
- Knowledge of specific software applications such as spread sheets as well as sound understanding of computerized accounting systems
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in financial accounting at middle management/senior level with medium or large organization.
- Experience in implementing management control system.
- JD Edwards Financial System – Includes General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Accounts Payables
Required Skills and Specialized Techniques
- Sound knowledge of financial and management accounting systems, policies and procedures
- Ability to interpret financial statement and management reports.
