CP Attorneys, a well-established and forward-looking law firm based in the Cayman Islands, is seeking a Jamaican Attorney-at-Law to spearhead its local operations in Jamaica. This strategic appointment forms part of a growing regional initiative aimed at expanding cross-border legal services and strengthening the firm’s presence in the Caribbean.
This role offers the opportunity to work closely with an international legal team while remaining based in Jamaica.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the firm's lead legal representative in Jamaica
Manage and coordinate client matters originating in or connected to Jamaica
Support cross-border matters in property, commercial, civil, and corporate law
Assist with filings, advisory services, and legal correspondence under Jamaican law
Foster relationships with clients, agencies, and professionals in the Jamaican jurisdiction
Candidate Profile:
Admitted to practice law in Jamaica
Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience
Solid understanding of Jamaican legal systems and procedures
Excellent research, drafting, and client communication skills
Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently
Experience in property, commercial, or cross-border legal matters is a strong asset
