The reconciliation and verification of PICA s revenue from all outposts and in ensuring that all cash receipts are processed, recorded and deposited in a timely, accurate and secure manner and in accordance with the Agency s policies and procedures.
KEY OUTPUTS INCLUDE:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Prepares weekly revenue collection and lodgement reports
- Assists in overseeing Cashier collection points island-wide
- Balances Cashiers on location, prepares and dispatches lodgements on a daily basis
- Assists in ensuring that revenue procedures are adhered to at all collection points (out posts), are in line with GOJ guideline and PICA’s standard operating procedures
- Verifies and confirms monies on account for customers
- Checks the accuracy of accounting entries
- Prepares reports and responds to relevant correspondence
- Assists in the review, testing and implementation of technology upgrades to ensure continuous process improvement
- Assists with the cashiering function in Kingston and outpost when required
- Manages the petty cash portfolio
- Identifies and reports on any discrepancy relating to lodgements
- Monitors revenue dishonoured cheques on the Agency’s bank account and seeks to recover payment along with bank charges
KEY COMPETENCIES
The post holder needs to demonstrate the following competencies:
- Knowledge of the FAA Act
- Knowledge of the policies, procedures, controls for receipt and deposit of funds
- Knowledge of relevant computer applications and systems including word processing and spread sheet applications
- Sound decision-making and problem solving skills
- Sound interpersonal skills, including providing coaching and counselling with proven ability to communicate effectively with tact/diplomacy
- Sound organizing and planning skills (work schedule, attention to details, follow through)
- Ability to handle money with exacting accuracy
- Flexible
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- ACCA Level I or Diploma in Accounting
- Diploma in Management Studies or Business Administration
- Two (2) years related work experience
