The University of Technology, Jamaica (UTech, Jamaica) seeks to identify a suitable candidate to fill the post of Admissions/Enrolment Clerk.



The Admissions/Enrolment Clerk is responsible for assisting the Undergraduate Admissions Assistants and Enrolment Assistants with applicant and student-related issues. He/She is responsible for entering data of all applications received and making routine adjustments to students’ modules under the direction of the Enrolment Officer.



The Admissions/Enrolment Clerk also is required to provide relief support to the Customer Service/Receptionist, files and retrieves application and other student information and provide basic information to the public and students on application and enrolment related queries. He/She will also handle enrolment-related queries through the Call Centre.



Requirements:

  • The preferred applicant should possess
  • Five (5) GCE ‘O’ Level/CXC General Proficiency subjects including English Language and a numerical subject.
  • Knowledge of all the programmes offered by the University
  • Knowledge of university matriculation requirements for taught undergraduate programmes
  • Knowledge of ISAS
  • Knowledge of records and file management systems and techniques
  • Sound knowledge of the University’s general operations and services.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills;
  • Good Microsoft Office Suite skills and a positive work ethic;



At least one year experience in University administration, preferably working in an admissions or faculty office.
