Reporting to the Management Accountant, the incumbent has the responsibilities to assist in the preparation of the Agency s budget to ensure that all departments achieve the financial objectives of the Agency.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Offer guidance to department managers in completing their budget submission in line with the Agency’s objectives.
- Collect, analyze and report on all costing data
- Verify that established formulas to allocate overheads and miscellaneous costs are adhere to
- Prepare Collection Reports for input in the Financial System
- Monitor the Agency’s Scotia income bank account (Scotia Gain and NCB)
- Prepare the Agency’s budget call
- Enter the approved budget into the Agency’s financial system
- Perform other related duties assigned from time to time by the Management Accountant
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- BSc. in Accounts/Business Administration/Management Studies or equivalent
- ACCA Level 1 or equivalent qualification training
- Two (2) years working experience
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Good knowledge of financial and accounting principles and practices including budget preparation
- Working knowledge of relevant computer applications
- Excellent time management skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Good analytical, forward thinking and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of a least one Accounting Package (Great Plains Dynamics and Bizpay Enterprise Payroll Application)
