The portfolio responsibilities include ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial
information, ensuring that all expenditure is within the limits of the approved budgets and in
accordance with approved accounting policies and procedures. The individual is also
responsible for the preparation of financial projections and cash budgets for the company,
providing pertinent data to inform and guide the deliberations of the Board.
The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for the administrative, financial, and risk management
operations of the company, to include the development of a financial and operational strategy,
metrics tied to that strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems
designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced, mature, and self-motivated individual who
possesses strong administrative skills, well-developed communication skills, having the
necessary professional training, aptitude and a proven record of achievement. The successful
candidate will apply the necessary skills to ensure the optimization of resources and the
achievement of objectives and targets. The candidate should be highly computer literate and
growth oriented.
RESPONSIBILITIES
● Manage the capital request and budgeting processes.
● Oversee the company's transaction processing systems.
● Assist the CEO on the organization’s financial, budgeting, and administrative
processes with an eye to continuously developing and improving systems.

Specialized Knowledge Requirements
● ACCA Level 2, CPA or Chartered Accountant (Institute of Chartered Accountants of
Jamaica).
● Master’s in Accounting or Finance discipline.
● Working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standard for SME’s (IFRS for
SME’s).
● In-depth knowledge of Jamaica’s Taxation and Labor laws.
● Extensive experience using computerized accounting software.
● Experience in a construction, tourism, real estate or manufacturing environment
leading a team or senior audit participation would be ideal.
● Experience working for company listed on the stock exchange preferred.
