Job Purpose:
The incumbent shall coordinate activities to ensure that the interest of the community stakeholders is taken into account and are effectively integrated in the physical and urban planning processes and programme execution of the organization. This by providing social analysis with relevant data and information through research, community mobilization and engagement, at all phases of designated projects; thereby ensuring that community needs, sociology and psychology are determined, documented, considered, addressed and communicated effectively.
Specific Knowledge, Qualification and Experience
- A Bachelor Degree in Urban Planning, Sociology or any other Social Science or similar qualifications from an accredited tertiary institution.
- A minimum of four (4) years experience in community development and / or urban planning at the level of a middle manager in a medium or large organization.
- Sound knowledge of community development methodologies, demographics and trends.
- Sound knowledge of research methodology.
- Knowledge of project management.
- Sound knowledge of relevant computer applications such as Microsoft Office
