The National Works Agency, an Executive Agency of the Government of Jamaica, is seeking suitably qualified individuals for the position of Data Collection Technician
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Four (4) CXC/GCE or equivalent including English and Mathematics, science and or building subjects preferred
- At least two (2) years working experience road construction/ traffic management environment.

- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Interpersonal and team skills
- Mathematicaly inclined
CORE FUNCTION
- To collect road related data, such as; pedestrian, vehicle classification, vehicle weights, origin destination studies and traffic counts
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
Reports to: Data Collection Supervisor
PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct traffic engineering field studies as directed, including but not limited to:
- Traffic surveys
- Pedestrian studies
- Roadside interviews
- Delay studies
- Compliance studies
- Serve land acquisition notices
