KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

Technical/Professional Responsibilities 

• Operates vehicles and ensures it is properly maintained
• Writes daily log of transportation duties assigned 
• Prepares reports as required from time to time 
• Transports officers to required destinations 
• Collects and delivers mails as directed 
• Transports goods and equipment as required 

Other Responsibilities 

• Performs any other related duties as directed by Director, Veterinary Services or Administrative Services Officer 

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS

• Daily log written accurately and consistently 
• Transport assignments are carried out whenever required according to the required standards 
• Reports are accurately prepared and submitted within the agreed timeframe
• Vehicles are serviced as required according to set guidelines and procedures 
• Mails collected and dispatched accurately within the specified timeframe 
• Officers are transported safely to their respective destinations whenever required

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Completion of Secondary level education 
• Possession of a valid General Driver’s License 
• Required approval/Licence from Island Traffic Authority
• Three (3) years experience in similar position 

SPECIAL CONDITIONS ASSOCIATED WITH THE JOB

• Extensive travelling
