As a delivery driver, you will work as a member of a team to deliver products to customers. Our ideal candidate is a reliable, dependable team-player and has experience making deliveries. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with loading & unloading truck.
- Travel to different parishes to deliver products (Long-distance driving)
- Ensure vehicle documents are up-to-date
- Ensure goods/products are delivered on time
- Plan routes effeciently & have good navigational skills
- Report any accidents or incidents
- Obeying and following applicable traffic laws
- Interacting with customers in a professional manner
- Ensuring any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving. Conduct basic vehicle maintenance like checking fluid levels and tire pressure each day before going on the road.
Requirements
- Valid Jamaican driver's license (open licence or a weight of 7500kg)
- Must be at least 27 years old or older
- Must have at least 2 years of prior and verifiable driving experience
- At least a high school Diploma
- Knowledge of local routes & traffic patterns
- Must be willing to learn or take instructions
- Basic mechanical knowledge
- Strong knowledge of the Road Traffic Act of Jamaica
- Good communication & inperpersonal skills
