Farm Ranger (PTSG/PX 3)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical/Professional Responsibilities: 

• Secures farm assets, produce and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment (Drones); inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry and exit. 
• Inspects outgoing vehicles and personnel bags to prevent unauthorized removal of farm property or produce. 
• Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers and praedial thieves. 
• Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities. 
• Monitors the farms for praedial theft by using quadcopter drones and photo beam technology. 

Other Responsibilities: 

• The incumbent may, from time to time, be assigned duties not specifically outlined within the job description but are within the capacity, qualifications and experience normally expected from a person occupying this position.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Four (4) CSEC subjects including Mathematics and English; 
• Experience in the use of quadcopter drone; 

SPECIAL CONDITIONS ASSOCIATED WITH THE JOB

• Must work well under pressure. 
• Long work hours. 
• May be required to work on weekends and public holidays. 
• Be able to respond to emergencies quickly and efficiently. 
• Hazardous environment.
