Responsible for providing environmental support services for the Vector Control Unit.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Secondary school certificate or equivalent qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good oral and written communications skills
- Good customer service skills
- Working knowledge of established pesticidal standards
- Ability to adapt to changes and new tasks
Key responsibilities will include:
- Performing larvicidal and adulticidal work in the control of mosquitoes.
- Applying abate to containers use to store water for domestic purposes.
- Applying treatment to breeding sites to contain and prevent continuous breeding of mosquitoes.
- Performing Rodent and insect control at public buildings.
- Providing basic maintenance to equipment and mixing of material used for oiling and fogging.
- Performing other related duties that may be assigned by supervisor.
Working Conditions:
- Field work and office hours
- May be required to work at nights, weekends and some public holidays
