A Kingston-based distribution Company is seeking to fill these roles:

Dispatching Officer:

Key Competencies

Responsibilities
• The incumbent will be tasked under the supervision of the dispatch manager to dispatch goods on a daily basis by verifying, checking-off, quantifying, ascertaining amounts and types of goods for customer distribution.

• Will be expected to perform in-coming and out-going inventory verification, reconciling quantities and noting discrepancies among other related tasks.

• Must report any anomalies, duplications, errors, defects of inventories or documentations to the Head of dispatching, Warehouse supervisor and the Managing Director– according to the nature of the issue.

• Must also ensure goods follow the inventory controls systems in place including the FIFO method of dispatch.

Qualifications:

• Five CXC subjects including Mathematics and English Language
• Proven experience in dispatching or logistical processing for at least 1 year or more
• HEART Trust/NTA training certificate/diploma or other certification in dispatching/Business Administration or supply chain would be a great asset
• Must have two (2) professional references

Warehouse Supervisor:

Key Responsibilities:
• The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for the smooth operations of the warehouse facility including delegating duties of the warehouse team, managing the storage, packing, movement and rotation process.
• The incumbent will also be responsible for the receival of supplier goods on a day-to-day basis
• Will be tasked with the quality assurance process of goods received including detecting damaged goods received, near-dated items and other anomalies.
• Must enforce and develop warehouse operations processes and procedures including enforcing the Occupational Health and Safety Procedures
• Must liaise with the HR Unit in recruiting warehouse staff as well as orientation duties, socialization and training of new employees
• Manages and coordinates the company’s loss and prevention initiatives such as protecting the Company’s assets, inventories, infrastructure, warehouse technologies etc.
• Will be required to manage, update and monitor the inventory control system/s in place including data entry, clean up, input and synchronization of goods received and dispatched
• Performs process, system and software updates such as reviewing, clean-ups, updating and other software control of the inventory database.
• Will be required to monitor stock audits (within the warehouse to reconcile with the database) and forecasts the supply and demand requirement to ensure consistent stock level at all times to meet customer demands.
Qualifications:

- Minimum five CXC subjects including Mathematics and English Language
- A Diploma or an associate degree in warehouse logistics and supply chain management is required
- A first degree in Logistics and supply chain management, business administration or related field would be an asset
