The Pressman is responsible for operating and maintaining the Offset/Lithographic Printing Press to produce printed products for the organisation.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- NVQ-J Level 2 Certification or secondary education or equivalent in disciplines such as: Printing and Graphic Services
- Training in Offset/Lithographic Printing
- At least two (2) years' relevant work experience in a comparable business/work environment such as a major printing house or print media house
KEY COMPETENCIES:
- Sound knowledge of Offset Machine Operation and Maintenance
- Troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of handling chemicals, plates and colour printing
- Good colour mixing skills
KEY DUTIES:
- Cleans and maintains the machinery
- Sets-up machinery for production
- Maintains colour registration in printing
- Produces Offset/Lithographic Printed Products
