Reporting to the Manager, Information Technology, the incumbent will lead the design, implementation and maintenance of Web and Mobile applications throughout the development life cycle.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyzes business and office processes to design system and user requirements;
  • Develops specification of functional systems and design requirements;
  • Prepares the required documentation for applications developed;
  • Provides programming services to satisfy special projects, office automation and other business requirements;
  • Develops, implements and maintains Web-Based applications and/or Websites using industry-standard tools such as PHP, SharePoint and ASP .Net;
  • Develops, implements and maintains intranet/internet applications within the Commission;
  • Makes recommendations for new equipment and services to purchase and works with various vendors for procurement
  • Works closely with Heads of Departments and other members of the Information Technology department Performs other such duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the Manager, Information Technology or his designate from time to time.
  • Design and maintain Software Development and Design Procedure documents
  • Maintain all software design-related documents within ECC's OMS 

 

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited tertiary institution;
  • Four (4) years' experience in the field of software and web development

OR

  •  Associate of Science Degree in Computer Studies or related field from an accredited tertiary institution;
  • Five (5) years' experience in the field of software and web development.
