The Senior Administrator supports the Regional Director's office, builds strategic partnerships, and coordinates volunteer activities to enhance regional healthcare operations.
JOB PURPOSE
The Senior Administrator will provide direct technical and administrative support to the Regional Director and indirectly to the Directorate to ensure that the Regional Director’s office is operationally efficient. The Officer will also be responsible for building a network of partnerships, including the private sector, civic organizations, the Diaspora and international agencies in collaboration with the National Healthcare Enhancement Foundation Limited as well as coordinating volunteer group activities for the Region.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides technical and administrative support
- Coordinates the submission and review of individual work plans and appraisal review sessions for the Regional Director’s direct reports
- Leads and organizes conferences and Ministry engagements for the Region as required by the Regional Director
- Arranges official visits for arriving delegations and for local delegations travelling overseas ensuring that all relevant logistics are in place
- Formulates and submits Reports
- Coordinates and organizes the preparation of the annual budget for the Region
- Coordinates and facilitates Donor and volunteer activities
- Provides technical assistance to volunteers in preparation for visits to the Region’s facilities
- Supports the Ministry of Health and Wellness’ National Healthcare Enhancement Foundation with the coordination and execution of resource mobilization activities
- Prepares project proposals relating to resource mobilization activities
- Develops and maintains stakeholder and donor relationships
- Plans and executes Annual Community outreach
- Coordinates and processes local and international agreements in connection with funding opportunities
- Attends Conferences and forums
- Prepares and submits work plans
- Performs other related functions assigned from time to time by the Regional Director or his designate
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Knowledge of and ability to formulate comprehensive reports and proposals
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
- Well developed planning, organizing and time-management skills
- Excellent human relations skills and the ability to interact with individuals at all levels
- Proficiency in the relevant computer applications
- Well developed written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of administrative procedures and practices
- Knowledge of the organization's policies and procedures as well as the relevant GOJ and MOHW policies such as the GOJ Gift Policy
SPECIFIC CONDITIONS ASSOCIATED WITH THE JOB:
- May be required to work outside of normal working hours, weekends and public holidays
- May be required to travel within and outside of the parish
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Management Public Administration or other related fields from an accredited tertiary institution
- A minimum of three (3) years experience in a similar capacity
- Any equivalent combination of qualification and experience
