The incumbent manages research, policy development, and compliance for health infrastructure standards, advises stakeholders, ensures alignment with best practices and legislation, and fosters innovation through industry collaboration.
JOB PURPOSE
Under the leadership and direction of the Senior Director –Health Infrastructure Standards & Quality Management, the Senior Quality Management Officer (Standards Development) is responsible for managing the strategic and authoritative development and maintenance of systematic and evidence-based health infrastructure standards and guidelines that aligns with acceptable global standards, to ensure a robust and efficient healthcare system that achieves strategic infrastructure, economic and growth objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
- Manages research and analysis studies regarding the development of health infrastructure standards and guidelines to encourage consistency and alignment with industry best practices;
- Manages and provides expert advice and reports on health infrastructure standards and guidelines to internal and external stakeholders;
- Prepares health infrastructure policy documents, guidelines, pamphlets and brochures relating to environmental health matters;
- Contributes new ideas and innovative ways of working to assist with the development and maintenance of systems, policies and processes impacting health infrastructure planning and management;
- Manages the development and implementation of compliance and regulatory standards relating to health infrastructure development and maintenance ensuring that service delivery complies with all relevant legislation and global standards;
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with industry professionals and stakeholders to drive innovation across the industry and develop collaborative partnerships;
- Manages and reviews investigations of breaches to standards and ensure consistent, confidential, transparent and procedurally fair processes are observed;
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Management, Applied Sciences, Health Technology or equivalent discipline;
- Three (3) years’ experience in Engineering, Environmental Sciences/Management in the development and maintenance of infrastructure systems or a related area.
