Site Support Engineer II

The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring consistency in maintaining a secure, reliable, and efficient computing environment by effecting sound project implementation, focusing on business continuity and support services to Government of Jamaica Ministries, Departments and Agencies. He/she will also be responsible for carrying out system administration tasks and providing solutions to local networking problems as well as first point troubleshooting.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree inComputer Science, Management Science, Engineering or related discipline from an accredited tertiary institution.
• Working knowledge of Cloud Computing Technology.
• Experience in System Administration.
• Experience in  implementing and maintenance of enterprise software solutions
• Working knowledge in the maintenance of ICT power infrastructure.
• Experience in Network and Systems Management, Computer Hardware troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs.
• Interest in Computer Hardware and Software literature and ICT Technology trends.
• Good understanding of developing system requirements for IT solutions.
• Licensed to operate and ownership of a reliable motor vehicle.
• Good oral and written communications skills.
