Truck Driver/Bearer (Engineering Solutions Distribution Company)

Position Overview:
As a Truck Driver/Bearer, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting
goods to our customers, carrying out banking duties, delivering and collecting documents on behalf of
the company. Your adherence to transportation regulations, attention to detail, and commitment to
delivering exceptional service will contribute to the success of our company's distribution operations.

Responsibilities:

Safe and Efficient Transportation:
Safely operate assigned company vehicles, such as trucks or delivery vans, to transport products to
customer locations.
Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and safety guidelines to ensure a safe and accident-free driving
record.
Plan routes effectively, considering traffic conditions, delivery schedules, and vehicle capacity.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle's mechanical soundness and report any
issues promptly.

Product Delivery and Customer Service:

Load and unload products onto the vehicle, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods.
Verify product quantities and quality against delivery notes or invoices.
Follow delivery schedules and route instructions to deliver products to customers in a timely and
professional manner.
Provide exceptional customer service, acting as a representative of the company during customer
interactions.

Documentation and Reporting:
Complete accurate delivery paperwork, including delivery receipts, invoices, and other required
documentation.
Collect payments from customers, if applicable, and issue receipts.
Report any delivery discrepancies, customer feedback, or incidents promptly to the appropriate
department.

Vehicle Maintenance and Inspection:

Perform routine maintenance checks on the vehicle, such as checking oil levels, tire pressure, and fluid
levels.
Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained, both internally and externally.
Report any vehicle maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor.
Follow proper procedures for fueling the vehicle and maintaining accurate fuel records.
Compliance and Record-Keeping:
Ensure compliance with transportation laws and regulations, including weight restrictions, hours of
service, and vehicle inspection requirements.
Maintain accurate records of vehicle mileage, routes taken, and delivery details.
Comply with company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, security, and
confidentiality.
Any other duties assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in truck driving or a related field are a plus.
Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Proven experience as a Truck Driver or in a similar driving role, preferably in the distribution or logistics
industry.
Knowledge of local traffic laws, regulations, and safe driving practices.
Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning software.
Ability to read and understand delivery instructions, maps, and manifests.
Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry heavy loads.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
Good time management skills and the ability to meet delivery deadlines.
Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle unforeseen situations or delays.
