Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and creative Website Editor to join our team. As a Website Editor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality, accuracy, and overall effectiveness of the content on our websites. Your attention to detail and ability to communicate clearly will help us maintain a positive online presence and engage our audience effectively.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Edit and proofread website content to ensure it is error-free, grammatically correct, and adheres to our brand voice and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with content creators, designers, and other team members to enhance the visual appeal and readability of the website.
  • Ensure that all web content is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with the latest industry trends and best practices.
  • Format and structure content for optimal user experience, including headings, paragraphs, bullet points, and hyperlinks.
  • Review and optimize images, videos, and other multimedia elements to ensure they are appropriately placed and enhance the overall content.
  • Perform regular audits to identify and correct broken links, outdated information, and any technical issues affecting the website's performance.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining an organized content calendar to ensure timely updates and consistent publishing.
  • Operate as a SEO specialist to incorporate relevant keywords and optimize content for search engine visibility.
  • Stay updated on emerging web editing trends, technologies, and content management systems.

 

Qualifications:

  • Strong command of the English language with exceptional grammar and writing skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in editing, proofreading, or content management, preferably for websites or digital platforms.
  • Attention to detail and a keen eye for design, layout, and visual aesthetics.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and basic HTML/CSS is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Basic understanding of SEO principles and their application to web content.
