The APSE Coach will provide academic and instructional support to students with diverse learning needs. Working closely with school leaders, teachers, and support staff, the Coach will guide the implementation of differentiated instruction, inclusive education strategies, and targeted interventions aligned with the Ministry of Education’s APSE framework.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education, Curriculum & Instruction, or related field (Master’s an asset)
- Teacher training certification
- At least 5 years’ teaching experience, with 2 years supporting students with special education needs
- Strong knowledge of the APSE framework, NSC, IEPs, UDL, and inclusive teaching strategies
- Experience in coaching, data analysis, and professional development delivery
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Support APSE implementation and inclusive practices
- Assist with IEPs, assessments, and tailored instructional planning
- Coach teachers in differentiated and learner-centred approaches
- Monitor progress and report on outcomes to the Ministry
Additional Requirements:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and MOEY platforms
- Willingness to travel between schools
- Commitment to educational equity
Salary: In accordance with Ministry of Finance and Public Service guidelines.
