Job Responsibilities:

  • Have full knowledge of beverage lists and promotions, menu items and preparation methods.
  • Follow all Hotel Service Standards.
  • Sets up all meeting rooms to the specifications of the guest.
  • Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the banquet function space, pre-function space, and storage areas to include the carpet, walls, walks, doors, windows, heating/air conditioning units.
  • Quickly and efficiently retrieves all materials needed for setup of banquet facilities, including those events outside of normal convention space.
  • Provides prompt, courteous service to guests while maintaining a friendly and pleasant atmosphere.
  • Provides quality service to both internal and external guests, specifically maintaining established quality standards for timely banquet service.
  • Maintains safe and sanitary conditions in all banquet service areas and for all banquet service equipment.
  • Follows company standards of hospitality.
  • Demonstrate full knowledge of banquet areas and keep banquet service areas properly stocked and cleaned.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Understanding of hygiene and food safety rules.
  • Physical ability and stamina to carry heavy trays and stand for long hours.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.

Educational Requirements:

  • Relevant Certification in the area.
  • At least one year experience in the hotel industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills are essentials.
