Associates in this role get to:
Enable sound decision-making: Collect and analyze data to ensure accuracy; provide in-depth analysis and actionable insights to support underwriting decisions.
Process insurance transactions: Handle a high volume of insurance-related transactions, including policy issuance, renewals, and modifications, with precision and efficiency.
Perform risk assessment: Assist in evaluating insurance applications and claims to determine risk levels and appropriate coverage options.
Keep management updated: Relay important information in the form of timely and accurate reports; educate end-users on reports and findings; create and deliver presentations on key performance indicators (KPIs) and trends.
Keep Sutherland aligned: Maintain and update process documents; contribute to the development of best practices and standard operating procedures.
Keep things running: Schedule and participate in meetings with the reporting team to stay current with real-time activities and issues; proactively identify and resolve operational bottlenecks.
Strengthen relationships: Establish and maintain communication with clients and/or team members; be the point-of-contact for matters related to reporting. There is no direct interaction with customers; the role will primarily support insurance/mortgage underwriters.
Ensure compliance: Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and company policies; apply this knowledge to all transactions and processes to maintain compliance.
Contribute to process improvement: Identify opportunities for enhancing efficiency and accuracy in insurance transaction processing; participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate across departments: Work closely with underwriting, claims, and customer service teams to ensure seamless processing of insurance transactions and resolution of complex issues.
Manage data integrity: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the company's database systems; perform regular audits to ensure data quality and consistency.
Support technology adoption: Assist in the implementation and utilization of new software tools and technologies to improve transaction processing efficiency.
