Mentor (CSEC Intensive)

Let There Be Light Christian Residential Academy is recruiting mentors for the CSEC Intensive, a free program for students in St. Elizabeth entering their CSEC exam year, many affected by Hurricane Melissa's disruption to their schooling. Mentors walk alongside a small group of students through character formation, encouragement, and consistent presence, built on the Fruit of the Spirit.

This is a full academic year commitment, not a single term. Research on youth mentoring is clear, relationships under 12 months show little lasting benefit. We're looking for mentors who can commit to the same students for the full year.

What you'll do:

• Meet consistently with the same small group of students throughout the program
• Lead character formation activities tied to the Fruit of the Spirit and CASEL competencies
• Support students through exam-season stress and hurricane-related disruption

Who we're looking for:

• A genuine heart for young people and consistency of presence
• Comfortable speaking openly about faith and character, not just academics
• Able to commit to the full academic year

Schedule: 5 sessions per week, approximately 40 minutes per session. Background check and safeguarding screening required before start.
