Objectives and Purpose of the Job
Ensure that the offloading of inbound food products is carried out efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all applicable regulations and standards. Store the products with the required quality and in compliance with safety and established layout standards so that the food products are ready and available for picking when needed.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Check all goods being delivered by suppliers for accurate quantity and appropriate quality prior to receival.
2. Prepare receival report to reflect items received, and ensure accurate documentation of quantity received, lot number, expiry date and carrier information.
3. Organize and dispatch receival reports to data and accounts team for processing.
4. Prepare supplier invoices for submission to accounts and inventory departments for processing.
5. Generate put away tags and affix to pallets to facilitate the put away process.
6. Check the information on invoices received and verify the products being offloaded, quantities, lot number and expiration dates from items being received and report discrepancies to warehouse supervision team.
7. Inspects inbound items to ensure they are saleable and free of defects or damages.
8. Document and report on any damages observed at the point of receiving and communicate same to supervisory team.
9. Issue alerts on variance between actual quantity received and quantity invoice.
10. Ensure pallets are staged for put away.
11. Update pallet management and inbound sheets and reports are daily.
12. Ensure compliance with all regulations and standards applicable to the offloading of food products, including those related to food safety.
13. Temporarily file and store warehouse copy of receival reports for auditing purposes.
14. Obtain and record performance indicators for the offloading and warehouse management process.
15. Collaborate with the operational and administrative departments to ensure service and area results.
16. Work closely with the inventory team and the quality team to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the data and products.
17. Ensure compliance with all regulations and standards applicable to the offloading of food products, including those related to food safety.
18. Perform other related duties and responsibilities assigned or as required.
