Job Title: Technical Assistant Project Manager

What We’re Looking For:

  • Game Engine Proficiency: Demonstrated experience and strong working knowledge of Unreal Engine 5 (UE5) or later, including Blueprints, C++ integration, asset pipelines, and project setup.
  • Version Control Systems: Familiarity with industry-standard version control systems such as Perforce (preferred) or at least an understanding or experience with Git for collaborative development and asset management. Git works in a similar fashion as Perforce so if they understand Git they will be able to pick up Perforce quickly.
  • 3D Asset Pipelines: Understanding of common 3D asset creation workflows, including modeling, texturing, rigging, animation, and their integration into Unreal Engine.
  • Marketplace Operations: Knowledge of digital marketplace platforms, specifically the Fab Marketplace, including submission processes, content guidelines, and technical review procedures.
  • Documentation and Ticketing Systems: Experience with project management software and ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, Asana, Google Suite) for tracking tasks, bugs, and documentation/communication.
  • Basic Scripting/Programming: Foundational understanding of scripting or
  • programming concepts (e.g., Python, C++) to effectively communicate with developers and understand technical challenges. Doesn’t require a person to be able to program in any of the languages but having a general understanding of programming logic will definitely help the candidate be successful on the project.
  • QA/Testing Methodologies: Familiarity with quality assurance processes and testing methodologies relevant to game development and digital content. Attention to detail and understanding of game logic is important here, this is where being a gamer may allow a candidate to be able shine more than non-gamers.
  • Adaptability and Quick Learning: Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software, tools, and technical workflows, ensuring a smooth integration into ever-evolving project environments.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Ability to gather and analyze technical data related to marketplace performance, user feedback, and content issues.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Proven ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues, providing clear and concise guidance to end users, sellers, and internal teams. This includes strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborative Problem Solving: Ability to work collaboratively with clients to pinpoint issues and resolve investigations effectively.
  • Being a gamer or possessing a deep understanding of the gaming industry is a significant advantage for this role. This includes familiarity with current gaming trends, player communities, and the development cycles and challenges within the industry.
  • These additional insights can greatly assist in understanding user feedback, anticipating market needs for Fab Marketplace content, and effectively communicating with developers who are often passionate gamers themselves. It also helps in grasping the nuances of game mechanics and player experience, which are crucial for evaluating content quality and marketability.

  • 32 GB RAM
  • Nvidia 2080 or higher (or equivalent)
  • 500 GB+ Hard Drive Space (Recommended 1TB)
  • Dual Monitors – Highly Recommended
  • Internet speed of at least 100 down and upload 20 minimum
  • Stable power connection
