Job Summary
The Vansales Clerk is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of inventory on Vansales trucks through routine and random stock counts, as well as supporting the timely processing of credit notes related to Vansales operations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct morning selected item counts and/or snap counts on designated Vansales trucks to verify inventory accuracy.
- Perform random Vansales stock counts in the evening to ensure compliance with inventory control procedures.
- Investigate and report any discrepancies identified during counts, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up.
- Process an agreed number of Vansales-related credit notes accurately and within required timelines.
- Maintain proper records of all counts conducted and adjustments made.
- Collaborate with warehouse and sales teams to resolve inventory issues efficiently.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures regarding inventory control and reporting.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum of High School diploma and or 5 CSEC to include Mathematics, English language and Principles of Accounts.
- Certificate or training in inventory management, logistics or accounting is as asset.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar data entry systems.
Work Experience
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience in inventory control, stock auditing, or similar role.
- Experience working within a distribution warehouse is an asset.
- Proven experience conducting physical stock counts and reconciling inventory discrepancies.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic data entry.
- Experience processing Credit Notes or similar financial/stock adjustments is preferred.
