Rejection stings—especially when it’s a job you really wanted. But how you handle it says a lot about you—and sets the tone for what comes next.
First, allow yourself to feel disappointed. It’s normal. Talk it out with someone. Just don’t let it define you.
Next, ask for feedback. Not every company will provide it, but it’s worth a polite email: “Thank you for considering me. If you have any feedback on how I can improve for future opportunities, I’d be grateful.”
Reflect on your process. Did you prepare enough? Was the role a true fit? Use each interview as a learning experience.
Then keep moving. Apply to the next job. Update your resume or practice your pitch. Every “no” gets you closer to a “yes.”
Rejection doesn’t mean failure. It’s just a redirection. Stay open, stay active, and stay confident. Your opportunity is out there.
