Objectives and Purpose of the Job:
Ensure an efficient flow of materials and products within the company, ensuring safe unloading, precise loading, proper storage, and efficient rotation of palletized products and raw materials. In addition, the operator must comply with safety standards and obtain and maintain the required internal certification.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Safely and efficiently operate forklift equipment to load and unload palletized products and raw materials in accordance with established procedures.
2. Perform daily inspections of forklifts, report any issues, and ensure basic maintenance to keep the equipment in optimal condition.
3. Ensure that products are stored in designated areas in an organized manner and according to the company's storage standards.
4. Coordinate with warehouse personnel to assist with proper rotation of products with expiration dates, avoiding losses due to expiration.
5. Strictly adhere to safety regulations in forklift operation and in the handling of chemicals or hazardous materials if necessary.
6. Participate in training programs and obtain and maintain the required internal certification to operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
7. Maintain accurate records of loading, unloading, storage, and rotation activities, reporting any irregularities or incidents.
8. Provide support to the inventory team for cycle counts and quarterly counts.
9. Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics, inventory, and warehouse, to ensure a seamless workflow.
10. Identify opportunities for improvement in materials handling processes and propose solutions to optimize efficiency and safety.
11. Comply with all internal regulations and policies related to forklift operation and materials handling.
12. Collaborate with the operational and administrative departments to ensure service and area results.
13. Perform other related duties and responsibilities assigned or as required.
