The successful candidate will lead product strategy, governance, commercialization and growth while building and developing a high-performing team of Product Managers and Product Owners.

During the initial phase of the role, the incumbent will have direct hands-on responsibility for managing and growing 3 flagship product lines while establishing the product management function and operating model:

  • Phoenix – Core Banking Platform
  • BizPay – Payroll & Business SaaS Solutions
  • Payments – Digital Payments Solutions

As the portfolio matures, the Head of Product Management – Fintech Products will transition from day-to-day product ownership to strategic leadership, oversight and development of a scalable product organization capable of driving innovation, customer value and commercial success across the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Ownership

  • Own the product vision, roadmap and success metrics for Phoenix, BizPay, and Payments.
  • Lead product discovery by assessing customer needs, market trends, competitive dynamics and regulatory requirements, translating insights into actionable product strategy.
  • Define and prioritize roadmaps and product backlogs with engineering based on customer value, commercial impact and strategic objectives.
  • Drive productization initiatives, including packaging, onboarding, configuration, pricing, servicing and scalability.
  • Direct Product Owners responsible for translating product strategy into epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, functional specifications and backlog management.
  • Own product acceptance and business validation, including defining acceptance criteria, facilitating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and securing business sign-off prior to go-live.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for product and market capabilities during pre-sales engagements, customer presentations, demonstrations and complex solution discussions.

Product Leadership & Team Development

  • Build, lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team of Product Managers and Product Owners.
  • Establish product management standards, competency frameworks, career pathways and performance expectations.
  • Foster a customer-centric, outcome-driven culture focused on measurable business value.

Product Operating Model & Governance

  • Design and implement product management frameworks, governance practices, prioritization methodologies and delivery processes.
  • Establish effective UAT, product acceptance and business validation processes across the division.
  • Develop and monitor product performance metrics, including adoption, revenue growth, customer satisfaction, value realization and delivery predictability.
  • Promote data-driven decision-making across the product portfolio.

Commercial Growth & Client Engagement

  • Partner with Business Development and Sales teams to support product-led growth initiatives.
  • Lead product solutioning efforts for RFPs, customer proposals and pre-sales engagements.
  • Own product packaging, pricing, commercialization and business case for new revenue lines.
  • Convert bespoke client requests into scalable, repeatable product capabilities and revenue-generating solutions.
  • Act as the senior product representative in client, partner and executive stakeholder engagements.

Delivery Partnership

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure product strategies are achievable and aligned to organizational objectives.
  • Ensure product decisions appropriately consider technical architecture, regulatory requirements, operational realities and customer outcomes.
  • Balance innovation, delivery timelines and commercial priorities across the product portfolio.

Qualifications & Experience

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Master's degree is an advantage
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in product management, including at least 3 years leading Product Managers and/or Product Owners
  • Proven experience owning product vision, product strategy, roadmaps, product discovery, backlog prioritization and feature delivery
  • Strong experience within Fintech, banking or remittance payments, payroll, SaaS platforms, or related technology domains
  • Demonstrated success taking products from concept through launch and measurable commercial outcomes
  • Experience presenting to and influencing executive leadership teams, boards and senior stakeholders
  • Experience commercializing B2B or B2B2C solutions for financial institutions is highly desirable.
  • Direct experience in one or more of the following domains:
    • Core Banking Platforms (e.g., Fiserv Phoenix)

  • Consistent use of data and performance metrics to inform product decisions.
