JN Life Insurance Company Limited invites applications from suitably qualified individuals for the position of Accounting Clerk – Premium Accounting and Reporting within the Finance and Accounting Department.

The Accounting Clerk – Premium Accounting and Reporting supports the accurate recording and reconciliation of premium transactions and related financial activities. The role ensures that premium payments are correctly applied, financial records are maintained, and reconciliations are completed to support effective financial reporting and audit readiness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and apply incoming premium payments to the appropriate bank accounts and policy records on a daily basis.

  • Update and maintain accurate records in the General Ledger.

  • Prepare sub-ledger to general ledger reconciliations and resolve reconciling items.

  • Perform bank reconciliations and ensure outstanding items are cleared within established timelines.

  • Prepare accounting entries including general ledger and accounts payable transactions as required.

  • Assist with monthly financial reporting and support internal, external, and regulatory audit activities.

  • Maintain accurate filing and documentation of financial records.

  • Perform other related duties to support the efficient administration of the company’s accounting operations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • First Degree in Accounting or currently pursuing ACCA Level II or equivalent professional qualification.

  • Sound working knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

  • Experience using accounting systems (e.g., Solomon or similar accounting software) would be an asset.

  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in accounting within a financial institution would be an advantage.
