THE OPPORTUNITY
The JN Group is seeking to recruit suitably qualified
and experienced candidates to fill the position of Software Quality
Assurance Lead. The incumbent role is to oversee the operations of the
software quality assurance function and collaborate with technical and
non-technical team members within JN Group and externally, to ensure delivery
of high-quality solutions in alignment with business objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILTIES
- Enforce, maintain and communicate software quality
assurance policies, procedures, standards and guidelines.
- Establish, revise and monitor quality metrics.
- Produce regular software QA reports for the Manager of
Software Quality or relevant stakeholder group(s).
- Inspire, motivate and manage a diverse team of local
and international software quality assurance specialists, providing effective
leadership and mentorship to QA team members, through support, open
communication and training.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and individual
development planning for team members, in addition to providing ongoing
feedback.
- Supervise and track the execution of QA activities
across the various IT initiatives within the JN Group.
- Reviewing deliverables and test artifacts, automated
and manual tests, test results and issues resolution.
- Monitoring QA reviews on requirements, code and
designs.
- Assist with QA test execution where required.
- Assign and delegate tasks to QA team members,
providing clear instructions, deadlines, and expectations, to ensure efficient
workflow and task completion.
- Combine efforts with the Test Automation Engineers and
relevant stakeholders to plan, implement and maintain test automation across
the JN Group.
- Engage with technical and business leads to plan,
identify interdependencies, mitigate risks and clear roadblocks for current and
future initiatives or changes.
- Conduct thorough investigation and analysis of issues
that arise in production, user acceptance testing, or pilot phases.
- Participate in key project meetings and planning
sessions for UAT, pilot and Production.
- Demo product or product increment to key stakeholders.
- Overall management of the test environments and test
beds.
- Perform manual or automated deployments to the QA test
environments, as needed.
- Oversee and manage vendor relationships and
interactions.
- Coordinate, track and execute the selection,
implementation and maintenance of test management, defect tracking and
automation tools. Also, participate in the selection of other solutions to
support the business’ objectives.
- Execute resource planning and allocation to optimize
resource utilization
- Coordinate and execute onboarding activities for new
team members, including third parties, to ensure a smooth integration process.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices and
promote their application among team members.
- Champion and promote the SDLC methodology adopted by
the JN Group.
- Demonstrate passion for innovation, learning, emerging
technologies, and creative problem- solving.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement,
innovation, integrity and accountability, while also fostering a collaborative
team environment.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s
degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or
Information Technology.
- Minimum
of five (5) years’ proven experience as a Senior QA Analyst, or Quality
Assurance Test Lead.
- Experience
in the financial sector would be advantageous.

- Excellent
verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated
expertise in Business Analyses, technical design and software development.
- Experience
with Agile methodologies.
- ISTQB
Certified Tester - Foundation Level certification.
- Training
and/or certification(s) in the following areas would be advantageous: DevOps,
Agile methodologies, test automation, programming, innovation and leadership,
as well as banking and finance.
